Helping clients to rebuild after a major life transition
After receiving my Master of Social Work degree from Wheelock College. I began my career providing home-based services for the families of children with special needs. I have worked as a mental health consultant for children with behavioral challenges and partnered with multi-stressed parents and caregivers in home, school and clinical settings. In addition to coaching, I am an insatiable studier of human behavior and relationships, an autism mom, early childhood educator, and enjoy writing and making music.
My philosophy in working with clients is strengths-based, as I believe in the inherent worth, dignity and capacity of every human being to rise and meet personal challenges. As a coach, my aim is to provide a grounding presence and caring connection for clients in the midst of a major life transition. There is profound grief in losing the life you thought you would have. My specialty is meeting clients exactly where they are at, in the now, whatever that looks like.
I offer one-on-one coaching sessions with clients confronting issues such as: break-up/divorce, midlife issues, loss of loved one, job loss, special needs parenting, and adjusting to role as caregiver. I provide compassionate support for navigating the grief process, practical strategies for breaking old limiting thought and behavior patterns, as well as thorough analysis of personal strengths and resources.
Disclaimer: I do not diagnose or treat mental health disorders or provide psychotherapy.
